American Sunrise promotes healthy living through its annual 5K Run & Walk / Health Fair. Through this initiative, families will receive critical health information and free activities that emphasize the importance of wellness.

Public Allies Recruitment Session
Date: May 26
Location: Guadalupe Street Coffee

Public Allies is an AmeriCorps program that identifies young adults that are interested in volunteering in their community, want to address critical issues and can commit 10-months to an apprenticeship at a local non-profit. While working full-time, these young adults develop their leadership skills through regular training sessions and with the guidance of Public Allies Staff create a personal and professional development plan to implement during the program.

Program Benefits

        ● Earn a monthly stipend of $1500
        ● Receive healthcare, childcare, and student loan deferment during your term of service
        ● Earn a $5,350 Education Award to pay back student loans or pay for future education
        ● Develop your leadership skills for your life and career
        ● Expand your network of diverse, passionate young people and community leaders
        ● Learn about career opportunities in the nonprofit sector
